It was so exciting to see many of our projects in the IIDA 2018 and 2019 Honor Awards Galleries as entries into the Northern California Design Awards. I want to give special recognition to all of the hard working marketing teams getting their projects out in the world and entered in award competitions. It is no small feat to coordinate these photo shoots to create effective visual narratives. I’m proud to be a part of your team and happy to see so many of my clients featuring their work among the industry’s best. With the caliber of clients and projects I’m working on in 2019 I’m excited to see what next year’s gallery will look like! Keep up the amazing work everyone.

Last month Traci Vogel, Content Manager at Teecom, interviewed me for the SMPS SF blog about the common road blocks we often face when considering video. As we saw with the LinkedIn Design Lab Video, sometimes video is the best medium to tell your story, but knowing where to start can be difficult. Traci and I discussed ideas for how we can all overcome our fears around creating video content. In the interview we suggest simple tools that can elevate your in-house video capture as well as ideas for how to start building content. Traci quotes some pretty compelling statistics to reveal video isn’t just a trend, it’s becoming the norm….so we all need to jump on board before we miss the boat.
